So, we got the Nintendo Wii announcement last week. Some pretty good details, even though we may have been expecting a cheaper price. So for fellow Canadians and Americans alike we can enjoy because we can expect Wii ahead of those over in Japan, Europe and Australia.
It will be available here in US and Canada on November 19th, two days after the PS3 release. We unfortunatly will only see Wii coming in the White for now, so they can produce enough to meet demand. We will probably have enough consoles availble here, but the guys wanting a PS3 will have to wait till 2007 to get one, unless they camp out infront of bestBuy
We also will be seeing it come to us at a launch price of $279.99 CAD or $250 USD. Many are speculating that at the last minute Nintendo will drop the price to $229.99 CAD and respectively $199.99 USD. This is what has happened with both Nintendo64 and GameCube. This box includes a Wiimote, nunchuck, sensor bar, Nintendo Wii, User manuel, stand, TV componant cable, Power cord, and Wii Sports!
I would rather purchase a Wii than PS3 because this provides some really good features and the bottom line is this has better value that PS3 for their prices. I will eventually buy a PS3, when the next Kingdom Hearts title comes out. But until then Im not planning on getting a PS3. I will however be getting a Wii sometime this year or in the beggining of next year. Maybe even on November 19th, who knows.
